Since then, fishing has been a source of food, income and leisure for many civilizations and cultures. There are different types or forms of fishing, depending on the objective, the place, the method and the equipment used.

  9. Bananas are considered a symbol of bad luck among fishermen because it is believed they bring bad weather, poor fishing and even accidents.
  10. There are more than 220 million recreational fishermen in the world, according to data from the World Bank. Incredible!
  11. Fishing rods evolved a great deal in the 17th century, when Izaak Walton popularized fishing with his famous book. A century later the rings along the rod appeared.
