Why color movies pictures?
The movies are the art of projecting films on the big screen. Over the years, this so-called seventh art has evolved from being only silent black-and-white projections, to gaining color and sound thanks to technological advances.
Going to the movies has always been considered a leisure activity, and over time the genres and topics dealt with on the big screen have diversified, adapting to each generation and evolving to offer a better experience.

- The movies are called the seventh art thanks to Ricciotto Canudo, an Italian artist who wrote the “Manifesto of the Seven Arts.”
- The oldest film school was founded in 1919 by film director Vladimir Gardin, in Moscow, Russia, and is currently known as the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography.
- In 1932, the first full-color film in three-strip Technicolor was shown in theaters, an animated short by Walt Disney, directed by Burt Gillett and titled “Flowers and Trees.”
- The first film in the history of cinema was “Workers Leaving the Lumiere Factory,” filmed by the Lumiere brothers, inventors of the cinematograph, which was patented in 1895.
- Although the early days of cinema were silent, it was thanks to Lee de Forest and his creation of the Phonofilm that films began to add sound around the 1920s.
- The first horror film shown in theaters was Le manoir du diable (The Haunted Castle), a film made by Georges Melies in 1896.
- The first color films in the history of cinema were screened at the Palace-Variety Theatre in London in 1909, thanks to the Kinemacolor system created by George A. Smith.
- The first pornographic film in the history of cinema was screened in 1908; it was called A l'ecu d'or ou la bonne auberge, and it told the story of the encounter between a soldier and a maiden.
- The oldest film awards are the Oscars; their first gala took place in Los Angeles in 1929.
- Over time, anime cinema has gained popularity, which is why in 2002 it was awarded an Oscar for the first time. The film that won this award was “Spirited Away.”
- The first canine star to appear in the movies was Rover, whose real name was Blair, the star of the film Rescued by Rover, in 1905.
- The origin of the custom of eating popcorn at the movies goes back to the Great Depression, a time when going to the movies in the United States was a very popular pastime and corn was the cheapest and most abundant product.
- In some black-and-white films a chocolate mixture was used to replace the scarlet liquid that represented blood.
- During the production of the movie "The Hunger Games," Jennifer Lawrence suffered a perforated eardrum because water got into her ear while she was diving during filming.
- The movie "Victoria," released in 2015, is the film with the longest single shot in the history of cinema, with a single take of 134 minutes.
- The movie "Toy Story 2" was originally just an animated short, but people liked it so much that it was reworked into a full-length film, and it premiered in theaters on November 24, 1999.
- The Goya Awards, dedicated to the world of cinema, were held for the first time on March 17, 1987, at the Lope de Vega Theatre in Madrid.
- The character Yoda, from the movie Star Wars, was going to be called Buffy, but his creator, George Lucas, later changed his mind.
- All the drawings by Jack, from the famous movie "Titanic," including the drawing of Rose posing nude with the necklace, were made by the film's director, James Cameron.
- The clapperboards used during filming were a product created by Australian filmmaker Frank W. Thring, who found the small slates used at that time impractical.
