Baseball is a very popular sport in various parts of the world, like the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and others. It's played on a large grass-covered field, where two teams of nine players compete against each other. But you already knew this, right? Don't go, we have more.

  12. Do you know what the most popular food at baseball stadiums is? Hot dogs! During the major league of 2014, baseball fans ate 21,357,316 hot dogs. Incredible!
  13. Jimmy Piersall of the Boston Red Sox inspired the book Fear Strikes Out, which tells the story of his battle with bipolar disorder. How cool!
  14. Do you think women have nothing to do with baseball? False! In 1989 Gayle Gardner became the first woman to broadcast Major League events for a television network, which was without a doubt a great step for women around the world.
