- The month of July has that name in honor of the Roman emperor Julius Caesar.
- The name of the month of November comes from the Latin "novem", which means "nine". It's said that this is due to its position in the Roman calendar.
- The month of October was initially in the eighth place in the Roman calendar, hence its name.
