Learn while coloring Halloween Skeletons

  1. In the movie "Poltergeist" they used real skeletons for the scenes, because it was cheaper to afford real skeletons than to make fake ones. How scary!
  2. In the movie "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" the farmhouse furniture that appears is made from animal bones: cows, goats, deer, armadillos, and others. Also, one of the two skeletons used was real, because it was cheaper to bring a human skeleton from India than to make one.
  3. In 2021, 29 skeletons were found that are believed to have possibly been human sacrifices from the Wari culture, in Peru. They were buried approximately 1000 years ago. Four of those skeletons belonged to two children, a teenager, and an adult.
  4. In Catalhoyuk, in Turkey, they had a very strange funeral ritual. About 9000 years ago they buried their dead, and then dug up those graves in the following years, painted the bones, and then buried them again. Incredible!
  5. In 2020, a human skeleton was found in China that was probably sacrificed as part of an ancient ritual. Researchers suggest he died kneeling and with his hands crossed, in front of a sacrificial pit.
