Why color leonardo da vinci pictures?
Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian artist, inventor, scientist, philosopher, and writer of the Renaissance. He was born in 1452 in Vinci, Tuscany, Italy, and was the illegitimate son of a notary and a peasant woman. From an early age, he showed his artistic talent and began working in the workshop of the sculptor Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence.
In addition to his pictorial work, as exquisite as it was scarce, there was a Leonardo dedicated to science. In the thousands of pages of his notebooks, Leonardo collected his research on different disciplines such as anatomy, mechanics, or botany.
More than six thousand pages of Leonardo's notebooks are preserved, containing thousands of drawings and graphics accompanied by deliberately cryptic texts. These notebooks are scattered all over Europe as part of private collections.
Having one of those notebooks must definitely be quite a privilege! At Coloring Together we would be proud for you to learn a little more about this artist, thanks to the fun facts we add on top of the da Vinci images to color. We're sure you'll have fun.
