Do you like our gardener? He looks super sweet taking care of the plants. We took a little while because we weren't sure exactly how to paint him, would you have done it differently? We'd love to know which technique you would have used.

Gardeners are people who take care of maintaining a garden. It's considered a trade, and it's more complex than it seems. Do you know what duties a gardener has to fulfill?

A gardener has to take care of preserving seeds, of growing flowers and caring for them until they can be moved to the garden, and finally, they have to prune and care for the trees.

Josephine de Beauharnais was a collector of rose bushes who was obsessed with the garden designs of the era (1763 - 1814). Her collection came to have more than 650 specimens. Amazing!
Charles de L'Écluse was one of the most famous gardeners of the 16th century, as he was the creator of one of the first botanical gardens in Europe, and is also considered the founder of horticulture.
