Why color argentina flag pictures?

The Argentina flag is much more than just a flag. It is known by the name albiceleste, and it is one of the four national symbols of the Republic of Argentina.

It was created by General Manuel Belgrano on February 27, 1812, and the meaning of its colors is still under discussion. Without a doubt, it is one of the most beautiful flags in South America, what do you think?

Learn while coloring Argentina Flag

  1. Actually, Flag Day in Argentina does not celebrate the date of its creation, but rather commemorates the death of its creator, Manuel Belgrano, on June 20, 1820.
  2. The Argentina flag was raised for the first time at a small fortification on the banks of the Paraná, near Rosario, on February 27, 1812.
  3. Belgrano, the creator of the Argentine flag, swore allegiance to the flag twice. The first time near Rosario, in 1812, and then a year later, in Metán, Salta, on the Pasaje river which is now known as Juramento.
  4. There are several versions about the colors of the Argentina flag. The school version says that Belgrano was inspired by the sky, but another version states that it was by the coat of arms.
  5. Once Belgrano raised the Argentine flag for the first time, the Triumvirate asked him to “hide it discreetly”, but he disobeyed them and hoisted it again, after the triumph in the battle of Tucumán.
  6. The colors of the Argentine flag are still under discussion. Some say that the white represents silver, and that the blue stripes represent the sky, the waters of the Río de la Plata, or the blue used by the Spanish House of Bourbon in its coat of arms.
  7. Manuel Belgrano was not only the creator of the Argentina flag, but also took part in various campaigns in the fight for freedom, especially in the region of Alto Perú.
