  3. In the United States Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of every May.
  4. In Spain and Portugal Mother's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of every May.
  5. Since 1922, in Mexico Mother's Day has been celebrated on May 10th of every year.
  6. In Norway Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of February every year. This means that some years Mother's Day will fall on Valentine's Day. Awesome!
  7. In the Catholic religion Mother's Day is celebrated on December 8th of every year. The purpose of this is to honor the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, since December 8th is also the celebration of the Day of the Immaculate Conception.
  8. Did you know that in Argentina Mother's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of every October? Amazing!
  9. In many countries of the world Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of every May. Such is the case of Germany, Peru, Colombia, China, Turkey, Japan, Canada, Italy, Australia and Venezuela.
  10. In South Korea neither Mother's Day nor Father's Day is celebrated, since both parents are honored equally on the same day of the year. Every May 8th the "Eobeoi nal" or "Parents' Day" is celebrated.
