- The tallest skyscraper in the world is the “Burj Khalifa”. It is a hotel, residential, and office building that measures approximately 828 meters tall. It was inaugurated in January 2010 and is located in Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates.
- The tallest skyscraper in South America is located in Santiago de Chile. It is called “La Gran Torre de Santiago”, measures an impressive 300 meters tall, and is part of the luxurious Costanera Center building complex.
- Did you know that the tallest skyscraper in Latin America is in Mexico? It is called “Las Torres Obispado” and stands an exorbitant 305 meters tall. It is located in the city of Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo Leon.
- Thanks to its 1400 to 2000 skyscrapers, Hong Kong holds the record for “the city with the most skyscrapers in the world”. Close behind are other big cities like Shenzhen, New York, Dubai, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, and Chicago. Incredible!
- Did you know that China, the United States, and Japan are the countries with the most skyscrapers in the world? When it comes to Latin America, Panama and Mexico take the top two spots.
