Close your eyes for a second and picture the roar of an engine at more than three hundred kilometers per hour, the smell of burning rubber and a whole grandstand cheering on the final lap. That is Formula 1, and now you can jump onto the track without leaving home with these Formula 1 coloring pages.

We gathered single-seaters from every angle: side-on down the straight, head-on with the driver peeking out of the helmet, classics from decades ago and modern machines covered in wings. Each one is a blank sheet waiting for your team's colors. You do not have to copy any real squad: paint your own, give it any number you like and design a one-of-a-kind livery.

Coloring like this is more than just passing the time. While you decide where the red goes and where the blue goes, your hand gets steadier, your control sharper and your mind calmer, just like a driver focused before the start.

And when you finish, upload your work to the Coloring Together gallery: it is our very own podium, the place where we show off the drawings that make our hearts race the most. Climb up and share yours!

Formula 1 Cars coloring pages

Why color Formula 1 cars?

Formula 1 is the fastest and most famous category in motorsport. Its cars are true feats of engineering: light, low and packed with wings that glue them to the asphalt through the corners. Getting to know them while you color is a great way to learn how speed really works.

On top of that, coloring Formula 1 single-seaters trains your patience and your eye for detail, because they have lots of tiny parts: the front wing, the mirrors, the fat tires and the air intake above the driver. Carefully shading each area is excellent practice for your concentration.

And because we never want you to learn just one thing at a time, we sprinkled a handful of Formula 1 fun facts among the pictures. So while you bring each machine to life, you pick up records, speeds and secrets about this sport. Off to the pits!

Learn while coloring Formula 1 Cars

  1. Formula 1 cars can top 350 kilometers per hour on the longest straights. That is faster than many planes when they take off!
  2. A single-seater goes from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, thanks to its huge engine and how little it weighs.
  3. The rear wing makes so much downforce that, in theory, an F1 car could drive upside down on the roof of a tunnel without falling.
  4. A pit stop to change all four tires can take less than 2 seconds. The whole crew practices it thousands of times.
  5. In fast corners, drivers feel forces of up to 5G, meaning five times their own weight pushing on their body.
  6. An F1 car's brakes reach about 1000 degrees and glow red hot during the race.
  7. The Monaco Grand Prix is raced through the city streets, between the buildings and right next to the sea.
  8. Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher share the record of seven world championships each.
  9. The first Formula 1 championships were held in 1950, and those cars were far simpler than today's.
  10. A modern F1 car has a hybrid engine: it mixes gasoline with electric power that the car recovers while braking.
  11. The race ends when officials wave the famous black-and-white checkered flag over the finish line.
