Bambi, A Life in the Woods, is a novel about the life of a little roe deer, and it was written by Felix Salten and published in 1923. In this novel, it tries to represent what animals think about human beings.
The movie that was later released by Walt Disney does not have that much in common with the book, starting with the fact that instead of being a roe deer, it is a deer. Many characters who appear in the novel do not appear in the movie or were replaced by others.
