The time has come to learn about numbers! You surely know a little about them, which ones they are and what they are used for, but, what are numbers? The word "number" is a term used to express a quantity, to count and determine magnitudes.
That is why we can count one or two apples, for example. The numbers taught from school, like one (1), two (2), three (3) or four (4) are numbers that belong to the set of natural numbers. Wow, numbers are interesting! But we cannot tell you much more because we are running out of lines.

- The number three is a number that is linked to space, do you know why? Because it defines the three dimensions: height, depth and width.
- In the 3rd century B.C. in Greece, nothing was represented with an o, which meant "empty". It may remind you a little of the zero, however, it did not arise that way, but rather it is considered that it arose as a mathematical idea in India.
- In the beginnings of the Egyptian civilization, the number 1 was used as the only numerator to add fractions.
