  1. At 45 kilometers long, “Virginia Beach” takes the title of “the longest beach in the United States of America”.
  2. The largest beach lounger in the world measures 9.57 meters long, 5.77 meters wide and 8.36 meters high. It was created in 2012 by the British company Pimm's and is located on Bournemouth beach, in the United Kingdom.
  3. The highest beach in the world is named “High Coast”. It is located about 260 meters above sea level in Västernorrland, Sweden.
  4. The largest beach on the Asian continent is “Cox's Bazar Beach”. It has a length of 120 kilometers and is located in the Bay of Bengal, in Bangladesh.
  5. The largest beach towel in the world was made in 2010 by the Compañía Cervecera de Canarias Tropical Brand. Its measurements were 87.14 meters long by 25.20 meters wide. It was displayed on Playa de las Canteras, in Gran Canaria, Spain.
  6. Spain is the country with the most beaches with blue flags. Blue flags are distinctions awarded to beaches and ports that have excellent environmental conditions. By 2021 Spain had 614!

  10. In Northern Ireland there is a beach called “The Giant's Causeway”. It is famous for being bordered by more than forty thousand basalt columns that originated thanks to an ancient volcanic eruption. An Irish legend says that these columns formed as a result of a fight between giants.
  11. One of the most polluted beaches in the United States is “Kamilo Beach”. It is located in Hawaii and its level of pollution is such that it has been classified as “not fit for humans”.
  12. Some of the most polluted beaches in the world are “Serendipity Beach” in Cambodia, “Chowpatty Beach” in India, the beaches of “Guanabara Bay” in Brazil and the beaches of “Bajos de Haina” in the Dominican Republic.
  13. The largest inflatable beach ball in the world measures 19.97 meters in diameter. It was built in 2017 in London for the American movie “Baywatch”. Incredible!
