Once, in 1713, the pirate Basil Hood stole a herd of cows on the mainland and loaded them onto his ship. Since they weren't used to living at sea, the cows kept throwing up. Imagine the smell! It was so horrible that other ships wanted to stop them, but in the end they let them go because of the stench.
