- Behind the mask is Peter Parker, a teenager from Queens, a neighborhood in New York City. He was one of the first superheroes who was just a kid.
- Spider-Man got his powers from the bite of a radioactive spider. Since then he can climb walls and has enormous strength.
- His most famous line is: with great power comes great responsibility. His Uncle Ben taught it to him and he never forgot it.

- In the comics, Peter Parker is really good at science and invented the web-shooters himself, the gadgets he wears on his wrists.

- There is not just one Spider-Man: there are many, like Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen. That group of spider heroes is known as the Spider-Verse.
