- In China and Japan, it is considered bad manners to stab food with chopsticks. This is only done at funeral banquets.
- To eat in Thailand chopsticks are not used, instead people eat with a spoon and fork. Although the fork is used for cutting into pieces.
- In Arab countries, it is considered rude to touch food with your left hand, since it is a hand considered impure because it is used to go to the bathroom. If you ever go, you had better be careful!

- In Iceland people eat cured shark meat called hákarl; in South Korea people eat live octopus called sannakji; and in Mexico people eat fried ants called escamoles.
